About Us

Known as the EC GAELIC CLUB / BRUSSELS, the club has been in existence since about 1980. It started out as primarily a men's senior club but has evolved over the years into a club specialising in GAA Football training for young boys and girls who live in and around Brussels. Since 2022 we have added Camogie and Hurling training into the mix. All nationalities are welcome for both Camogie/Hurling and Football training!

We are officaily affilliated to the GAA in Ireland.

Our membership is primarily young Irish boys and girls who are currently living in Belgium. We are also delighted to have many other nationalities in our club. We cater for children aged 5 / 6 years old up to mid teens.

Over the years,  we have trained teams who have represented Brussels, primarily at Féile Peile na nÓg, but have also played at locations in France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Spain.

In May 2022, our U-15 players won the European Féile title following the first ever Gaelic football tournament for teams of that age group from all across Europe hosted in Vannes, Brittany. Our Club's success continued in Vigo, Galicia in May 2024 with our U-15 team winning the European Youth Féile title, thereby qualifying as Europe's winner to compete in the John West GAA Féile Peile na nÓg in Co. Mayo Ireland in June 2024. This year, our U-15s enjoyed the amazing opportunity to team up with players from Den Haag, the Netherlands for an exhibition match on the hallowed turf of GAA HQ, Croke Park!!

CLUB MEMBERSHIP

There is an annual membership subscription to cover pitch rental, purchase of equipment etc.
